Duane Eugene Long, a cherished father, son, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024, in Greenville, SC. Born on December 9, 1965, in Pickens, SC, Duane was a man known for his friendly demeanor, creative spirit, and thoughtful nature. He was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Duane was the beloved son of William Eugene Long and Mary Bledsoe, and a cherished stepson to Lillian Long. His life was a testament to the power of love and family. Surviving are his daughter Cristin Michelle Long, brother Rob (Marty)Long, sister Lisa Lawson (Micky), stepbrother Clayton Fritts.

Known affectionately as Duane to his friends and family, he was a man of many talents. He spent his working years as a skilled carpenter and painter, professions that allowed him to express his creativity and leave a lasting impression on the world around him. Duane's work ethic and attention to detail in his craft were admired by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him or enjoying the fruits of his labor.
