Douglas Clyde Maxson

Douglas Clyde Maxson, 61, of Greenville, SC, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on January 2, 2022. He was the son of Clyde Maxson and the late Carol Maxson Hight, born on March 10, 1960, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Doug is survived by his wife Twana Maxson of Greenville, SC; daughter: Dea White (Gary) of Ohio; sons: Cory Maxson (Lydia) of Greenville, SC and Joshua Garrett of Greenville, SC; dad: Clyde Maxson (Ellen) of Florida; sister: Brenda Kinne of Greenville, SC; and a brother: Terry Maxson (Angie) of Minnesota. He was also survived by five grandkids and four great grandkids which he cherished dearly. Doug was predeceased by his mother Carol Maxson Hight and step-dad Bob Hight. He was a devout Baptist and loved his family, friends, and fishing. Doug was a truck driver for eighteen years and also worked construction for many years. He may have left his worldly body but will remain in the hearts of the ones he left behind, but he will be forever loved and never forgotten. Visitation will be held January 6, 2022, at 11 AM and Memorial Service is at 12 PM at the Westville Chapel, 6010 Whitehorse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611.
