Douglas Stanley Lebo, age 78, affectionately known as Doug, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born on September 8, 1946, in Carlisle, PA, Doug was a man of profound faith and generosity, whose life was a testament to his values..

Doug’s life was a testament to the enduring strength of family and the bonds of love. He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Elizabeth A. (King) Lebo, and their six children: Stephen Wesley Lebo, Leah Marie (Lebo) Heter and husband Scott, Justin Daniel Lebo, Lydia Ruth (Lebo) Vernon, Lois Ester (Lebo) Hendrick, and Sarah Ann (Lebo) Emr. Each of his children reflects an aspect of his kind spirit, sharp mind, and generous heart. Doug found immense joy in his role as 'Papa D'  to Elyse, Sylas, Evelyn, Luke, Caroline, Serge, Jai, Lexi, Aubri, and Josie, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Doug honorably served his country for 10 years in the Navy before embarking on a career that demonstrated his commitment to his community. He worked as a beloved city mail carrier in Greenville and later as the facility maintenance manager at Greenville Downtown Airport. His service extended into his personal life where he touched many as a pastor, and he was cherished as a loving husband, father, and 'Papa D' to 10 grandchildren.

Doug pursued his education with the same dedication, earning an Associate's Degree from Bob Jones University. His passions were reflective of a man who prioritized family and faith above all else. Always analytical in thought, he found great joy in studying scripture, reading, and trout fishing.

He was a treasured patriarch predeceased by his father Jerome Lebo, mother Wanda (Behrens) Lebo, brother Ronald Lebo, and survived by brother A. Jeffery Lebo and his wife Cheryl. The family tree continued to grow and flourish, including his beloved niece Stephanie; great-niece Sophie; great-nephew Ivan; nephew Nate Lebo and his wife Tiffany; and great-niece Indiana and great-nephew Judah. His extended family, woven together with his steadfast love, includes his daughter Lois Ester (Lebo) Hendrick with husband Tyler, and their children Serge and Jai, and his daughter Sarah Ann (Lebo) Emr. Bennett, the son of his late brother Ronald and a cherished great-nephew, will also hold Doug’s memory dear.
