Douglas Wylie Edmonds, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home with his daughter Kim and the love of his life Sylvia by his side on October 4th, 2022. He was 80 years old.
Born in Toccoa, Georgia, Douglas graduated from Carolina High School in 1960. He worked for Michelin Tire Corporation for 30 years. From Family Man to Bachelor back to Family Man, his blessed life went Full Circle.
Doug was an avid Harley Davidson rider and spent many fun times with brother riders. His pride and joy was his grandson, Timber Jordan Edmonds whom he called his hero.
Douglas is survived by his daughter, Kim Barthold and husband, Brian; son, Tim Edmonds and wife Beth, grandson Timber Edmonds; brothers, Kenneth (Anne), Wayne (Ann), Mike (Lexie); sister, Rita Davis (Bill); many nieces and nephews and Sylvia his caregiving angel that made the last year of his life full of love and many of his favorite breakfast meals.
Douglas was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mae Edmonds.
The family would like to thank Interim Healthcare Hospice for keeping Douglas comfortable in his end days. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 5th, 2022 @ 1:00pm at the residence for family and close friends.
