Dorthy Jean Davis

Dorthy Jean (Pruitt) Davis,68,stepped into eternity to be with our Savior on April 3,2020. She was born August 15,1951 in Lineville,AL to Cecil and Frances Pruitt. She loved her family,friends and all kinds of animals,especially cats. She enjoyed reading historical western romance books,making people laugh and a good margarita. She thought the Smoky Mountains were majestic and thought how great God is each time she saw the ocean. But,as much as she loved those places, the place her heart longed for most is her beloved home state of Alabama. She leaves behind a daughter,Sherri Wheat,son in law Josh Wheat and grandchildren Matthew, Caitlin and Caroline Wheat. She is also survived by brothers, Cecil Floyd Pruitt and Charles Pruitt (Micki), a sister, Carolyn Summerville (Gary),two nieces, three nephews and many friends made throughout her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her parents,a brother,Wayne Pruitt, and a sister, Carol Cooper. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Alabama.
