Dorothy B. McAuley

Dorothy “Dot” Batson McAuley passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Travelers Rest, South Carolina at the age of 87.
Mrs. Dot is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray McAuley, and sister, Jessie Mae Batson and brother, Edgar Batson. She is survived by her husband’s family, Harriett and Bob Bryson, John Crabtree, and June Griffin of San Antonio, TX.
Mrs. Dot was born in Travelers Rest, South Carolina to W.T. and Pearl Batson. She was a dedicated member of Foothills Baptist Church.
A viewing is scheduled from 12:00-1:00pm and funeral service at 1:00pm on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Foothills Baptist Church, Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Pastor Tim Snyder will officiate the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be sent to Foothills Baptist Church Building or Children’s Fund, P. O. Box 222, Travelers Rest, SC, 29690. The family would like to thank Renaye Lindsey, Gail Burgess, and Sue Medlin for the love they extended to her as her caregivers. The family would also like to express special gratitude to her Sister-in-Christ, Mrs. Dot Coggins affectionately known to her as “Dottie”, for her love, dedication, and support.
