Dorothy " Dot " Thompson Crawford

Dorothy " Dot " Thompson Crawford, 94, of Greer, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at her residence. Born on December 17, 1921 in Greenville, South Carolina to her parents, Gillman F. And Lily Mae (Cox) Thompson. She was a graduate of the Greenville High School. Of all things, Mama Dot will be remembered as a lover of life, a lover of people and a lover of nature.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Crawford; sisters, Julia Sparks and Frances Thompson and her brother, Gillman F. Thompson, Jr. Those who will most cherish her memory are her daughter, Diane C. Wilson of Greer; her grandchildren, Angela Stevenson and husband, Scott, Amanda Crandall and husband, Matt, Mark Wilson and wife, Gail and Lori Wilson; her great grandchildren, Bethany, Thackston, William, Wyatt, Michael and Trevor; her brother, Jim Thompson. Dorothy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and members of her extended family.

A celebration of life service for Dot will be at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Disciples United Methodist Church, 185 Riley Smith Road, Greenville, South Carolina. Reverend Debra Griffis-Woodberry will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Dot to the Disciples U. M. C.
