Doris Ward Waldrop

Doris Ward Waldrop, 85, of Piedmont, SC., passed away on January 31, 2022. She was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas Gentry Vaughn and the late Bertha McNeely Vaughn, born on June 19, 1936, in Greenville, SC. Doris is survived by her sister Tommie Vaughn Riddle; two grandchildren: Ashley and Brittany; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons: Reid Wigington and Joel Wigington siblings: Gloria Johnson, Doug Ward, and Etta White. For many years she worked in auto manufacturing. Doris enjoyed being with nature, watching birds, and loved watching the flowers bloom. She was also an avid poetry writer and enjoyed spending time with her family. Doris was a member of The Carpenters House Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
