Doris Rochester Surrett

Our dear mother Doris Rochester Surrett sadly passed away February 9, 2023. She was the cherished daughter of the late Louvenia Rochester and Lewis Rochester. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, James Surrett; her son, James Westbrooks; her daughters, Deborah Westbrooks and Brenda K. Westbrooks; and her sisters, Janice Skelton and Bobbie Ward. Doris was the beloved mother of Rebecca Brown, Ronnie Westbrooks, and Judy Riddle, all of Greenville, SC. She was the beloved grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Doris was a bundle of energy, who lived a full and active life. She took pleasure in the simple things, and was a warm, happy, and loving person. Doris loved to cook - she was famous for her deserts, especially her pies and cakes. She loved sharing a good meal with family and friends. Doris will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
