Donna Lynn Hales Oltarzewski, 54, of Pelzer, South Carolina, passed away at her home on Monday, November 27, 2017 from medical complications. Donna was born in Hampton, Virginia and she moved to Pelzer, South Carolina in the early nineties. Donna is a Breast Cancer survivor and had been for over a decade.
Donna is preceded in death by her father, Thomas W. Hales and her stepfather, Jerry “ Pop “ Campbell of Pelzer, South Carolina. Donna is survived by her mother, Mary L. Cook Campbell of Hampton, Virginia; her three brothers, Michael Hales of Poquoson, Virginia, Curtis Hales of Hampton, Virginia and Darryl Hales of Greenville, South Carolina; her half sister, Whitney Queen of Hampton, Virginia; one niece, Kandyce Hales of Pelzer, South Carolina; two nephews, Jesse Hales of Hampton, Virginia and Zachary Hales of Pelzer, South Carolina. Although Donna did not have children of her own, she had the privilege of caring for and help raise three children who were special to her, Brittany James, Brandi Taylor Cobb and Randy Kellett, all of Greenville, South Carolina, she loved them as though they were her own. Donna is also survived by her best friend and loyal companion, her dog, Lucky.
In honoring of Donna’s wishes, she is to be cremated at the Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funerals. A private memorial service will be held at a later date with her family.
