Donavan Jay Allen

Donavan Jay Allen, 89, passed away August 5, 2013.
Born in Grand Tower, IL, he was the son of William James and Marie Alzena Perry Allen. He was a loving father and a devoted Jehovah's Witness. Mr. Allen was an inventor, having one of his designs as the top-selling hairdryer in 2000.
Surviving are five children, Sandy Ford (Greg) of Greer, Tanya Brooks of Greer, Susan Gassaway of Greer, Maxine Allen of Greer, and Mark Allen (Sandy Ann) of Davidson, NC; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6 PM, Aug. 8 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 300 E. Belvue, Taylors. Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park will be private. Cremation Society of SC-Westville
