Donald Curtis Tyner

Donald Curtis Tyner, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on November 8, 1957, in Greenville, SC, to the late Iona Donahue and Kenneth Lamar Tyner, Donald's life was one of dedication, service, and love.

Donald's early years in Greenville laid a strong foundation for the man he would become. He was a beacon of resilience and strength, qualities that would serve him well throughout his life. After graduating from high school, he answered the call of duty and served his country in the US Army, receiving an honorable discharge for his commendable service. Donald entered the roofing business, where he worked diligently for most of his life. 

Donald was a loving father to his children, James Tyner (Kayla Wiles), Jason Stephenson (Dee-Dee), Jennifer Sorgee (Chris), Jessica Tyner, and his late son, Jessie Donald Curtis Tyner. He is survived by his sister, Sherrie Chase, his brother in law Michael Chase, and predeceased by his brother, Walter Clay Donahue.

Donald's legacy continues through his twelve grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. His playful spirit and warm laughter will be fondly remembered at family gatherings, where he was often the heart and soul of the celebration.
