Easley, SC

Donald Ray "Donnie" Price, a cherished family man and passionate racing enthusiast, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Pickens, SC, at 72. Born on July 14, 1952, in Greenville, SC,

Donnie was a beacon of intelligence, spirit, and wisdom. Donnie was predeceased by his father, Lloyd Woodrow Price, his mother, Ethel Montine Sewell, and his brother, Jimmy Price. His legacy of love and laughter lives on through his beloved family: his sister, Methel Taylor; his son, (Tad) Donald Ray Price Jr., (Jessica); and his adored granddaughters, Emilee Moore, Allison Moore, and Yanci Price.

Donnie, a proud graduate of his local high school, was known for his sharp intellect and quick wit. He had a natural ability to solve problems and a knack for imparting his knowledge to others in a way that was both engaging and accessible. His wisdom was a guiding light for his family and all who knew him.

Donnie's passion for racing was more than a hobby; it was a significant part of who he was, seeing that he was the proud owner of the Price Racing Chevrolet. He spent countless hours at the track, sharing his love for the sport with friends and family, especially with his son Tadpole.

Above all, Donnie was a family man. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, whether a quiet evening at home or a lively family gathering. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and he enjoyed watching them grow and explore the world. Donnie's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. His life was a testament to the power of love, the thrill of following one's passions, and the importance of family.

Donnie Price will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends.
