Donald Leslie Petersen

Donald Leslie Petersen, 80, of Simpsonville, passed away October 1, 2018. He was the son of the late Bernard and Ruby Kemmer Petersen. Donald is survived by his wife of the home Virginia Coker Kellett Petersen. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years, and later retired from Eastern Air Lines. Donald also worked in Nascar for over 20 years. He was a member of Fork Shoals Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Shawn Petersen, a daughter Amy Redding, one granddaughter, Hannah Redding, two brothers; Howard Petersen and Paul Petersen. He was predeceased by a daughter, Belinda D. Petersen, and one brother Max Petersen.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Fork Shoals Baptist Church, 110 Fork Shoals Church Road, Pelzer, SC 29669. A visitation will be prior to the memorial service from 2:00-3:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fork Shoals Baptist Church, 110 Fork Shoals Road, Pelzer, SC 29669.
