Born on September 22, 1949, in Spartanburg, SC, Donnie was a cherished individual whose kindness and intelligence left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Predeceased by his beloved mother Daisy Lee Hellams Bishop, father Edward Markus Bishop Sr., brother Edward Markus Bishop Jr., and son Timothy Scott Bishop, Donnie's legacy continues through his family. He is survived by his loving son Shawn Michael Bishop, his grandsons Tyler Scott Bishop, married to Harley, and Timothy Adam Bishop with Makayla Owens. His legacy extends to his great-grandsons, Joshua and Johnathan Bishop, and his devoted daughter-in-law, Evon Bishop. Donnie also leaves behind his caring sister, Brenda Kirby, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Donnie was a proud graduate of Byrnes High School, where he began to shape a future that would be characterized by dedication and a passion for knowledge. After graduation, he embarked on a fulfilling career and eventually retired from Mitsubishi Polyester Film in Greer. His work was not just a job but also an opportunity to connect with others, contributing to his community through his involvement in various associations and forming lasting friendships along the way.
Beyond his professional life, Donnie had a rich array of interests that revealed his multifaceted personality. He found solace and joy in reading, often immersing himself in stories and knowledge that broadened his horizons. Donnie also had a unique talent for working on clocks, a meticulous and patient endeavor that reflected his precise and thoughtful nature.
