Diana “Dee Dee” Bentley
Our precious matriarch, Dee Bentley, departed her loving family on Sunday, January 31, 2021. She devoted her life to her husband, her children, and the creation of a loving home in Greenville, South Carolina. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Bentley, their children; Tess Russell, Tom Bentley Jr., and Tim Bentley; along with their seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Dee was born in Danberry, Connecticut on October 3, 1944. She is also survived by one brother, Greg Gills of Davie, Florida. Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Gills of Miami, Florida; and twin brothers, Thomas and Michael Gills, her legacy of love and loyalty will endure in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
She lived a fulfilling life as a mother, sister, wife, and friend. She loved crocheting, reading, family dinners, and celebrations. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2021, at 11:00 am with an outdoor interment service open to all who would like to pay their respects at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621.
