Debra Williams Covington went to be with the angels on January 27th. She described her life as blessed. Proceeded by her parents, Willie Ralph Williams and Harriet Delano Whittle Williams and her husband Johnny Sulivan. She is survived by her daughters Amanda Kay Covington and Jan Covington Bridges (Luke) also her grandchildren Lyla Michelle Bridges and Holland Grace Bridges. Also her loving sisters Harriet Williams and Sherri Williams Thrasher.
Debra graduated from Jefferson Davis Academy where she played the clarinet, and went on to get a paralegal associate from Baptist College. She worked as a paralegal in Columbia and spent 16 years as the director of training for the SC Sheriffs Association.
She will be remembered for her playful spirit. She loved to laugh and have fun with friends, and was always up for a ride on the golf cart with her sisters. She was incredibly generous and a loving and supportive Mother. Her insightful advice will be missed. She was a shining light and her legacy will be the positive impact she made on every person she met.
Services will be held Thursday February 9th at Salem United Methodist Church at 4pm.
