Deborah Margaree Holmes, 63, passed away on January 20, 2021, at her home. Born to the late George and Thelma (nee Campbell) Brown, she was raised in Greenville, SC. She was a graduate of Fuller Normal School. She worked at Woolworth until the store closed and was employed as a cook at Blockhouse Restaurant and Oyster Bar for 25 years. Ms. Deb's Apple Pie on their menu is her signature dish. She retired in January of 2020 and enjoyed the company of her friends and family during the past year. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 15 years, Tarance "Tee" Holmes, her brother George Brown Jr., and a sister Martha Campbell. She is survived by her son Richard (Felicia) Holmes of Taylors, sisters Barbara Scott and Mary "Tott" McCrary of Greenville, 6 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish many fond memories.
