Deborah Fugate

Deborah Fugate, a beacon of love and courage, passed away on March 20, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 65. Born on November 27, 1959, in Thomson, GA, Deborah's spirited nature and infectious smile touched the lives of all who knew her.

Deborah's life was a tapestry of cherished moments and enduring relationships. She was a devoted mother to her children, Alisha Lott (Jason), Kimberly Chandler (Gary), and Douglas Fugate Jr. Her role as a grandmother to Kaycee and Jaymee Lott; Douglas Fugate III; and Gabriel, James, and Matthew Chandler was one she embraced with joy and pride. The family circle expanded with the arrival of her great-granddaughters, Lillian Fugate and Delilah Chandler, who brought her immense happiness.

She was a beloved sister to Jerrie Smith and Janice Wade, and she fondly remembered her late family members, including her father Jerry Wade, mother Odessa Smith, sister Sarah Page, and her husband, Douglas Fugate Sr., whose memories remained a guiding light in her life.

Deborah's interests were as unique and colorful as her personality. She had an impressive collection of clown figurines, each with its own story and place in her heart. Her love for puzzles reflected her methodical and patient nature, while her passion for reading allowed her to explore worlds beyond her own.
