Greenville, South Carolina - David Wayne Williams, a beloved husband, brother, and cherished member of his community, peacefully passed away on May 24, 2023. Born to Arville Lee and Thelma Jean Williams on December 21, 1958, in Virginia, David's life was filled with compassion, dedication, and a love for his family and friends.
Throughout his life, David worked as a mechanic, utilizing his skills to help others and provide valuable service to those in need. He possessed a natural inclination to lend a helping hand, and his willingness to assist others endeared him to all who crossed his path. David's devotion to his craft and his genuine care for those around him left an indelible impact on the lives he touched.
One of David's greatest joys was riding his beloved motorcycle, experiencing the freedom of the open road and the wind in his hair. He found solace and happiness in the company of his family and friends, cherishing the moments spent together. Their love and camaraderie brought immeasurable happiness to his life.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Arville and Thelma Williams, as well as his brothers, Arville Lee Williams Jr. and Daniel Lee Williams, and his sister, Nancy Norris. He was also deeply saddened by the loss of his nephews, Lee and Bo Williams, whose memories he held dear.
David is survived by his devoted wife, Jan, who provided unwavering love and support throughout their journey together. He also leaves behind her children, grandchildren, and a host of extended family members who will forever cherish his memory. His brother, Joe Williams, and sisters, Judy Wynn, Martha Godsey, Donna Williamson, Geraldine McAvoy, Carol Davenport, Ada Barnette, Toni Poll, and Teresa Burke, hold his memory close to their hearts. David's expansive and loving family will miss him dearly, forever cherishing the time they shared with him.
