David McDowell

David W McDowell of Stockbridge, GA, formerly of Georgetown,IL died October 31, 2015.

David was born on March 22, 1963 in Danville, IL to Porter and Barbara McDowell.  He graduated from Georgetown High School and Illinois State University and worked in Sales for the commercial refrigeration and A/C Industry beginning with Bohn Heat Transfer in Danville, IL



David was an avid golfer and his interests also included  NASCAR and attending the Indy 500 and a KC Royals series each year with his Georgetown friends.

David is survived by the love of his life, his son, Fletcher Scott McDowell of Stockbridge, GA.  He is also survived by brothers Robert (Kathy) McDowell of Wallace, NC,  Scott (Lisa) McDowell of Lexington, SC and sisters Cynthia (Larry) Nepple of The Villages, FL, Jane (Greg) Newlin of Georgetown, IL, Sally (Clay) of Georgetown, IL and Gail, (Sam)

Brittingham of Virginia Beach, VA and his aunt Alberta Boen of Alvin, IL  and several nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents.



Per David's wishes there will be no service.



The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to the Hospice of the Upstate for their wonderful care in his

final days
