David Roland Kitchens was born on November 1, 1973, in Spartanburg County to the parents of the late Samuel Thomas Kitchens and his surviving mother Nellie Jean Crocker. He was predeceased by grandparents: Olin and Pantha Crocker. He was also predeceased by brothers: Joel Rhyne Kitchens, John Phil Kitchens, and sisters Jilla Thomasine Kitchens and Janet Beth Morgan. David is survived by the following siblings: Susan Elaine Peace (Roger), Donna Kay Gorski (Marek), Rita Jean Holden (Scott), John William Blanton (CJ), Naoma Kitchens Rhyne, Cliff Conrad Kitchens,( Carol), and Rodney Ray Kitchens. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, including Chad, Joel, Kim, Tracy, Tina, Jennifer, Billy, Michael, Heather, Jackson, Crystal, Arron, Dustin, John-John, Lisa, Brett, Nikki, Ryan, Mandy, and Alex.
David received his GED after attending Spartanburg High School. He worked as a forklift operator in several manufacturing plants. David had a love of music of all genres. He enjoyed travel, fishing, and family time. David was a loyal friend and remained friends with Carol McConnell since childhood.
David will be remembered as someone who liked to cut up and always had the best sense of humor. He kept inside jokes going always and had an exceptional memory. He loved to dance and sing. He always looked after his mother and cared for her when she needed him.
Memorial will be held on September 10, 2022, at Center Point Baptist Church, Moore SC.
