David Lee Giles, Jr.

David Lee Giles, Jr., 49, of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 in Columbia. He was a resident of Greenville County and he will be remembered by his family for his social ability and his ability to create and build nearly anything. David enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his 1967 Chevrolet Impala along with studying history and Military facts.

David is preceded in death by his father, David Lee Giles, Sr.; his uncle, Perry Giles and his niece, Mackenzie Sullivan. Those who will most cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Sonja Lee Giles of Greenville, South Carolina; his son, William D. Giles of Greenville, South Carolina; his daughter, Jacquelyn Haley (Giles) Gomez (Andrew Manuel) of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; his mother, Mary Elizabeth (Roberson) Giles of Greenville, South Carolina; his sister, April Lynn (Giles) Lloyd of Greenville, South Carolina; five nieces, four great nieces and two nephews.

A gathering of David’s family and friends for a time of reflection and sharing will be at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in the Chapel of the Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611. Services to remember and honor David’s life will be at 5:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel.
