On Tuesday morning, February 7, 2023, David William Carter walked back into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. David was a month shy of his 42nd birthday. David was born March 6, 1981, in Greenville, SC. David was known for his loving heart and bringing laughter and silliness to any environment he was in. His laughter and funny smirk will be missed.
David is survived by his daughters: Morgan Elizabeth Carter of Liberty, Skye Tallon Carter of Honea Path, and Annalise Rose Carter of Fountain Inn. Surviving also are his father: Dean J. Carter of Greenville; his mother: Laura Jennings (Mitchell) of Lyman; his brother: M. Jason Carter (Selena) of Duncan; nephews: Lunday and Jones of Duncan; stepbrother: Adam Jennings of Lyman; grandmother: Stella Williams of Honea Path. David is also survived by his cousin Elizabeth Bonds (David) and her children, Angel, Elijah, Zach, and Gabby, with whom he and Skye were residing with at the time of his passing.
David was predeceased by maternal grandfather: John L. Williams and paternal grandparents: Jack and Vernera Carter.
David was loved by so many people. He was gifted with the ability to draw others to him. His kind and tender heart drew people to his side, and he was often in the middle of hilariousness. He was a natural comic whose laughter and jokes provided others with joy. He LOVED sports of any kind! He followed the Tennessee Vols, Clemson Tigers, Miami Dolphins, and Atlanta Braves.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday February 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Word of Life Church, 1023 W Georgia Rd Simpsonville, SC 29680, with visitation to follow. Those attending are asked to wear sports attire representing his favorite teams.
