Darryl Sheridan Toney

Darryl Sheridan Toney passed away on July 1, 2024, in Simpsonville. Born on August 8, 1963, Darryl lived a life marked by kindness, perseverance, and a deep commitment to his loved ones.

Darryl's passion for life was evident in the loving relationships he nurtured. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Megan Renee Toney. His legacy continues through his daughters, Latisha Toney, KiYonna Pollard, Kayla Langway, and Jaelynn Foster, as well as his son, Evan Roisum (Kayla). Each of them carries a piece of Darryl's spirit in their hearts.

The memories of Darryl will also be kept alive by his devoted sisters, Tanna Lawrence (Depass) and Arvonn Toney Ladson, who shared in the joys and sorrows of life with him. They, along with his sixteen grandchildren, will forever hold onto the lessons and laughter he brought into their lives.

Preceding him in death were his beloved son, Donte Gunther, brother Steve Holiday, and sister Kim D. Toney.

Darryl's life was a symphony of moments that celebrated his love for music. He found his true calling behind the drums, where he could express himself with every strike that resonated in the hearts of his audience. His talent was not confined to one instrument, as he also reveled in the art of deejaying, bringing people together on the dance floor with his eclectic mixes and vibrant energy. Darryl's warm presence and steadfast dedication to his family defined his character.

As we bid farewell to Darryl Sheridan Toney, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. His indelible impact will forever be felt by those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his story will be told with admiration and love. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12 at 4:00 PM, at Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611. A Visitation will be held one hour prior.
