Daren Shane Carland was born in Concord, NC, on July 30, 1977. He is survived by his father, Doug (Susan) Carland; mother, Denise (Mark) Jefferys; sister, Jenn Carland Hopper; step-sister, Kristen Hughes; grandmother, Ethel Carland; aunts, Denise (Tony) Nash and Tamara (John) Barkley; uncles, Dane Carland and Rick (Karen) Case; and many cousins who he loved.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Doug Carland, Sr. and Thomas Richard Case, Sr.; grandmother, Barbara Canupp Case; and his aunt, Janet Carland.
Shane was a free spirit in every sense of the word. He loved to travel, never met a stranger and was the ultimate people person. He was always “Happy Go Lucky” and loved his family and friends. He had such an infectious smile and grin. Love, Laugh, and Live - that’s the Shane we all knew. We love you Shane, rest in peace.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am August 25, 2018 at Harmony Baptist Church, Fountain Inn, SC.
