Daniel "Goat" Arlie Shelton

Daniel “Goat” Arlie Shelton, 62, gained his wings on January 12, 2022 at his home in Taylors, SC. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Yvonne Gammons-Billings and the late George Shelton. “Goat” was a mechanic and shop owner all his life and building motors and drag cars was a passion. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and loved to travel the country on his bike. He was kind-hearted, reliable, and always a good friend.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Diane W. Shelton; daughters, Suzanne (David) Hall, Ashley Shelton, Cassie (Brandon) McElrath, and Amanda Ford; and a son, Richard (Nikki) Cline; grandchildren, Hayli, Kelcee, Luke, Liam, Abigail, Thomas, Lillie, Olivia, Ember, MJ, Trinity, Derrick, and two very special grand children, Lindsey and Trystan; sisters, Patti (Dan) McCaig, Janice Shelton-Reece, Peggy McCarson, Annette Cowart, Lois Kay, and a brother, John Shelton; and numerous nieces and nephews; and his buddy, Honey Bun.

Family to receive friends from 12:45pm to 1:45pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Foothills Baptist Church, 1204 Hwy 25 N, Travelers Rest, SC 29690. Memorial Service to follow at 2:00pm.
