Daniel J. Penley

Daniel J. Penley, Sr., 80, of Greenville, SC husband of Bobbie Lambert Penley passed peacefully surrounded by family to be with his Lord, August 12, 2024.

Born in Asheville, NC, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Penley.

Danny served in the United States Air Force and was also a member of Living Sanctuary Church.

Danny was predeceased by son Robert Kevin Penley, brothers Samual and Thomas Penley and sisters Shirley Chambers and Sandra Moore.

Surviving in addition to his beloved wife of 61 years are daughter Rene’ Taylor (Bill) of Awendaw, SC, Daniel, Jr. and Charles Penley of Greenville, SC. Grandsons Adam, Beau (Jessica), Benjamin and granddaughter Brittany (Josh); seven great-grandchildren and his constant companion Annie.

Danny's life revolved around working for his family but his favorite thing to do was fishing and teaching his children and grandchildren the joys of it.

Visitation will be held at Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals August 15, 2024 from 11am - 12pm. . Service to follow with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
