Daniel Wayne Patterson, Sr, 75, of The Villages of Florida, passed away on January 10, 2024, after a massive heart attack.
Dan was born on April 4, 1948, to Louis & Dorothy Patterson in Detroit, MI. After Dan graduated from Huntington Beach High School in 1966, he went on to earn an Executive Master’s Degree from the University of Central Florida. In 1976, Dan met the love of his life, Nancy, in Palmdale, CA. Dan and Nancy brought their son Ryan Lee Patterson into their lives in 1985.
Dan had an impressive life: he was the oldest of seven children and ventured out on his own at 16 with his brother Guy. He had an illustrious 30-year career with Lockheed Martin that began in 1970. Most notably he held the following positions with Lockheed Martin: Director of Plant 10 Operations, COO of Space Operations, and CEO of Aircraft & Logistics. Once retired, he started a power sports business that is still family-run.
Dan is survived by his two sons Daniel W Patterson, Jr and Ryan L Patterson, along with his three grandchildren and six siblings.
