Dallas Donald Pattillo, 90, of Greenville SC, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Don was born November 28, 1930, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Walter and Ann Morris Pattillo. He was one of 9 children.
He was a proud veteran of the Korean War. A well-educated man, he earned multiple degrees including a Bachelor of Laws and a Doctorate of Music. A renowned pianist, arranger, and composer, Don worked with well-known Big Bands and many musical artists in a variety of genres from the 1950s through the 1970s. In the mid-1970s, Don moved to Greenville, SC to perform with Charlie Spivak at Ye Olde Fireplace for many years.
He was predeceased by his wife Patricia and is survived by his son Tim Rackley (Tracy), daughter Michelle Roddy (Jim), grandsons Alex and James Roddy, and extended family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes and due to the pandemic, no service will be held at this time.
Memorials may be made to the Greenville Humane Society or the charity of one’s choice.
