Cynthia Barnett

Cynthia Walker Barnett passed peacefully through Heaven’s gates and into the arms of her Savior on August 23, 2017, after a mercifully brief bout of metastatic cancer. Born October 30, 1957, in Greenville, SC she was the daughter of Jimmy Walker and Evelyn Hurst Barnett of Cleveland, SC. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Debra Barnett of Mauldin, SC, brother, Keith Barnett of Cleveland, SC and two nieces whom she adored, Paige Barnett and Madison Barnett both of Greenville, SC additionally she was a devoted “Mother” for 13 years to her two cats, Vira and Jorgie whom she rescued as feral kittens. Cyndi was a graduate of Pickens High School and Greenville Technical College. For the past 30 years she lived in the Washington State/Oregon area where she was employed by two major construction companies, McKinstry and Northwest Construction Company. A celebration of Cyndi’s life will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2PM at Gap Creek Baptist Church in Marietta, S.C. The family will receive friends at 1:30PM. Remembrances of Cyndi may be made to the Greenville Humane Society or any ministry of your choosing. Services are being handled by Cremation Society of South Carolina and Westville Funerals.
