Cornelius Edwin "Neal" Borum, Jr.

Cornelius Edwin Borum, Jr. (Neal Borum), 84, of Travelers Rest, SC died peacefully on May 29th, 2020 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC.
Neal was born on December 19, 1935 in Memphis, TN to Cornelius Edwin Borum, Sr and Elizabeth (McLaurin) Borum. He was raised in Jacksonville, FL before joining the US Army. He worked most of his life as a truck driver and later as a limousine driver. He loved playing games with the family and neighborhood kids, was an avid golfer and devoted husband and father.
He married Nancy Joye (Smith) Borum on May 12th, 1973. They were married for 47 years at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his wife Joye, Daughter Elizabeth Strickland and spouse Jay of Sanger, TX, Son Christopher Borum and spouse Rebecca of Taylors, SC, Son Kent Dillard and spouse Charlene of Simpsonville, SC and daughter Kay Green of Greenville, SC.
He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was a former member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple and served as a Hospital Guide for The Shriners Hospital for Children in Greenville, SC.
