Clifford Ernest Gribick, known affectionately as Cliff, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023, in Greenville, SC. Born on February 25, 1948, in New Brunswick, NJ, Cliff was a spirited, loving, and courageous man who left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Cliff leaves behind a beautiful wife of 50 years Carol who he adored and cherished deeply as well as his children Jason Meredith, Luke. Cliff was the beloved son of Ann and Ernest Gribick and a cherished brother to his sisters, Doris and Lisa. He was a devoted father to his three children, who currently reside in Taylors, SC. Cliff's extended family, including special friends Don, John "Limmy," and Aunt Susie, will remember him fondly for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Cliff served his country with honor in the US Navy, stationed at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington D.C. His time in the service was a testament to his courage and commitment to his country. After his service, Cliff channeled his energy and passion into music, a lifelong interest that brought him great joy and fulfillment. In his younger years, he was an active member of a band, performing at numerous high school events and special occasions.
At the age of 40, Cliff experienced a profound spiritual transformation when he gave his heart to Jesus and became a Christian. This faith became a guiding force in his life, inspiring him to use his musical talents to glorify the Lord. He wrote numerous songs, many of which can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon.
In 2000, Cliff's youngest son sustained a brain injury, a life-altering event that led Cliff to establish the website notearsinheaven.com with the help of his oldest son. This website became a beacon of hope and comfort for many families navigating similar challenges, reflecting Cliff's deep empathy and desire to help others.
Cliff was a resident of Taylors, SC, and received exceptional care from several facilities over the years, including Shepard's Care, Brushy Creek Rehab, and Prisma Health. His family extends their heartfelt thanks to these institutions, as well as to Interium Hospice and Hilltop Memory Care, for their excellent care and support during Cliff's final years.
Cliff was an active member of the Morningside Baptist Church, where he found a supportive and loving community. His church family, along with many other Christian brothers and sisters in the Greenville area, will remember Cliff for his unwavering faith, his inspiring music, and his generous spirit.

His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all those whose lives he touched with his music and his kindness.
