Pickens

Christopher Scott Duncan, 60, known as Scott, passed away on 09/20/2024 at home in Easley, South Carolina, from a 4 year battle with a terminal disease. Born on 8/9/1964 in Greenville, South Carolina. Scott grew into a man whose intelligence left a profound impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Scott was the son of Wilma & Terry Maness of Easley, SC and Douglas & Brenda Duncan. Scott has a sister, Shannon Culbertson of Travelers Rest, SC, brothers Douglas Duncan of Marietta, SC, Shaun Duncan of Colorado Springs, Co. and Johnny Mealor of Easley, SC. He was a uncle to 4 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces & nephews.

Scott's Grandparents, who are deceased was, Edith & retired Master Sargent Lee Hagan of Marietta, SC, and Roy and Grace Lee Duncan of Travelers Rest, SC. Scott graduated from Travelers Rest High School in 1982, with a perfect SAT score and a IQ of 147, he was offered a 4 year scholarship to go to Clemson to play football. Scott refused that offer and instead signed with the US Navy to go into the Nuclear Power Engineering Program. Scott was a E-5 Petty Officer stationed in Charleston, SC, serving on a Fast Attack Nuclear Submarine. He also taught Nuclear Physics in the Nuclear Training Program in New London, Conn. He served from 1982 to 1986.

Scott loved music and designing things. When he passed he was working on a little house blue print that he had planned on building. He had an eye for a bargain where ever he went, he reminded me so much of his grandpa Lee Hagan. He also left behind a large amount of friends from all over the world. He has lived in Savannah, GA, for the last 30 years of his life and was helping design the Geo Thermal Heat/Air System. Scott will be so surely missed. But we know where he is, he excepted Jesus as his personal savior a while before he passed.

I would like to thank all of the Nurses and Doctors who took care of him while he was so sick and the Agape Hospice Team for going out of their way to make sure he was comfortable. Especially Judy, Debbie, Christy and Ashley.

We will have a gathering of family & friends at a future time, I will let everyone know when the time comes.
