Pelzer, SC

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher "Chris" Baker, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, who left us on December 18, 2024, at the age of 43. Born on February 10, 1981, in Keenansville, NC, Chris was a man of exceptional character, whose loving and faith-filled nature touched the lives of all who knew him.

Chris grew up in the warm embrace of a close-knit family and carried those values of togetherness and support throughout his life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Jennifer Baker, and a guiding light in the lives of his children, Regan Worroll, Timothy, Caleb, and Aiden Baker. His grandson, Anthony Reardon, was a joyful addition who brightened his days. Chris was a beloved son to his father, JC Baker, and held the memory of his late mother, Robin Brinkley, close to his heart. He was a protective and playful sibling to his sisters, Brandy Penny and Cindy Baker, and his brother, Jonathan Wood. Also survived by several nieces and nephews,

Professionally, Chris was known for his exceptional craftsmanship and dedication. As the owner of Baker Painting, he painted not just walls but also the lives of his clients with strokes of reliability and excellence. His work was more than a job; it was a canvas where his artistry and precision were displayed. Chris's involvement in his community was marked by the same commitment and enthusiasm he showed in every aspect of his life.

Chris had a passion for the outdoors, where he often could be found shooting pool with friends, fishing in the quiet serenity of nature, hunting with a keen eye, or simply enjoying the sun and sand at the beach. These moments brought him immense joy and peace, and he cherished the memories created during these times.

The words that best describe Chris are loving, faith-filled, and handy. He was a man who could fix anything he set his hands on, a testament to his resourcefulness and skill. Chris's love was unconditional, and his faith was the cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life's journey with grace and hope.

His departure leaves a void in the fabric of our lives, but the legacy of Chris's kindness, strength, and love for his family and friends will continue to inspire and comfort us. He was a beacon of light in our community, a steadfast presence in the lives of those he loved, and his spirit will forever be etched in our memories.

As we bid farewell to Christopher Baker, we reflect on the joy he brought into our world. We celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a soul that, while no longer in our midst, will always remain an integral part of who we are.

Chris's life will be honored and remembered in a private ceremony, where those who loved him will gather to share stories, laughter, and tears, commemorating a life that, though too short, was lived to the fullest.

Goodbye, Chris, until we meet again. Your love remains with us, your laughter echoes in our hearts, and your memory shines as a guiding star. Rest in peace, dear one.
