A proud American! Beloved brother and uncle. Christopher J Baird, 73, of Greenville, SC, passed away September 25, 2021, after a brief illness with Covid 19.
Chris was a proud veteran and served his country in Viet Nam and other posts. He was very active with the American Legion Post 214, an avid competition shooter and gun instructor. His greatest gift was his ability to make friends from all walks of life.
Chris is survived by sisters Carol Hitt, Nora Dodson, Thelma Gerdes (Siebelt), Sandra Linville (Rick), a brother Roland Baird (Karen), and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00am at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, Greenville, SC. Please dress casually as you remember Chris. Visitation at the graveside begins at 9:45.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cecil D. Buchannan Military History Museum, 3110 Wade Hampton Blvd, Suite 20, Taylors, SC 29687.
