Pelzer

Christina "Chris" Carlson Harrison, a beacon of selfless love and gentle kindness, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024, in Pelzer, South Carolina, at the age of 67. Born on December 4, 1956, in El Paso, Texas, Chris was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother whose vibrant spirit and nurturing heart left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.

Chris grew up in a warm household, the loving daughter of Hazel Carlson and the late Ronald Carlson. She was the glue that held her family together, sharing an unbreakable bond with her sisters Cathy Ciarla, Cheri Carlson, and Colleen Vigil. Chris's legacy continues through her adoring children, Jamie Ware, (Beth McCoy), Jessica Harrison, Travis Wieloch, and Nathan Buhrow, and her treasured grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life.

Throughout her years, Chris was known for her unwavering work ethic and an innate desire to help others. Her career was marked not by titles or accolades, but by the countless lives she touched with her kindness and generosity. She was a true friend to many, always willing to lend a hand or a listening ear to those in need.

Chris's zest for life was evident in her many interests. A master of the art of crochet, she created countless treasures that will be cherished by her loved ones for generations. Her passion for Bingo and slot machine games was matched only by her love for her collection of stuffed animal monkeys. She found solace and entertainment in crime shows, which captivated her inquisitive mind. Above all, Chris had an extraordinary affection for cats, which brought her endless comfort and companionship. She loved the Green Bay Packers.

Those who knew Chris will remember her for the words that best describe her: loving, selfless, and gentle. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel special and valued, and her presence was a source of calm and reassurance. Chris's kindness was her gift to the world, a gift that will continue to resonate through the many lives she touched.

As we bid farewell to Christina Carlson Harrison, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was. Her memory will be held dear, not only in the milestones and celebrations she shared with us but in the quiet moments when we feel her love and guidance. Chris's spirit will forever live on through the stories we tell, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely.

We take comfort in knowing that Chris is now reunited with her beloved father and that she will be watching over us with the same tenderness and care that she embodied in life. Her departure leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but her influence will continue to be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As the sun sets on her time with us, we reflect on the beauty and warmth she brought to our lives. We are grateful for the time we had with Chris, for the memories we created, and for the love she so abundantly shared. We will miss her more than words can express, but we find peace in knowing she lived a life full of purpose, joy, and love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at New Day CCC, 101 S. Line Street, Greer, SC 29651, Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 2pm.
A future celebration will take place in Wisconsin.
