Chester Martin Stewart

March 2, 1954 — December 20, 2023

Chester Martin Stewart, known affectionately as Marty to his friends and family, passed away on December 20, 2023, at the age of 69, in Anderson, South Carolina. Born on March 2, 1954, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Marty had a zest for life that would become his hallmark.

Marty's journey through life was marked by his love for his family, his passion for motorcycles, and his extreme generosity. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn Stewart, with whom he shared a love that was evident to all who knew them. He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Rollins and her husband Torin, Toni Williams, and his stepchildren, Justin Fuller, Tyler Alexander, and Cortney Porter. Marty was a cherished grandfather to many grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought him immense pride and happiness. His parents, Eddie and Elizabeth Stewart, and stepson Cody Alexander, predeceased him. Heather Childress, daughter by choice, also held a special place in his heart.

His professional life was as vibrant as his personality; he was the proud owner of The Cadillac Saloon, a local gathering place that reflected his flare for the unexpected. Marty served as the President of the Motorcycle Awareness Alliance, advocating for the safety and rights of riders everywhere. His membership in the Family III motorcycle club was a source of camaraderie and brotherhood.

Beyond his work and advocacy, Marty was a man of many interests, but motorcycles and dog rescue were closest to his heart. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his generosity, as he often went out of his way to help both people and animals in need. Marty's sense of humor was legendary, and his ability to make others laugh was a gift he shared generously.

Marty Stewart's life was a testament to the power of living fully and giving freely. He will be remembered as a funny, adventurous, and generous man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he touched. His stories, laughter, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

As we bid farewell to Marty, we celebrate a life lived with passion and purpose. His spirit will continue to ride on in the memories of his loved ones and in the wind on the open road. Rest in peace, Marty Stewart, and may your journey continue with the same joy and freedom that you cherished in life.
