Cherrie Denise Nugent

Cherrie Denise Nugent went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 24, 2023. She is preceded in death by her brother, Francis Nugent; and her nephew, Michael Nugent. Cherrie is survived by her son Robert Rector Jr.; her step-children, Joshua Collins and Wunya Rector; her siblings, Alton Nugent (Shirley), Cindy Spears, Christine McCarthy, and Shirley Nugent; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Cherrie was a loving mother, who successfully raised three children on her own. Cherrie was as kind and caring as one could be. She had a big heart, and loved spending time with others. She made friends easily and loved to socialize. She truly never met a stranger. If you were in need, you could always count on Cherrie to be there for you. Her bubbly personality lit up the room, and her joy was contagious.

In her free time, Cherrie loved to spend time outdoors. She loved to go camping and spend time by the water. She also enjoyed taking in a good movie – especially in the company of her friends and family.

Cherrie leaves behind her loving family and friends – all of whom will treasure her memory.
