Charles Albert "Joe" Windsor

September 25, 1952 — October 10, 2021

GREER- Charles Albert (Joe) Windsor, 69 of Greer, South Carolina passed away Sunday morning, peacefully at home with his wife by his side. Born September 25th, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN to Ronzell and Clara Windsor. Joe is survived by his wife Terry of 45 years, brother Ronzell (Nancy), daughter Michelle (Rob), son Derek (Kim) as well as 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Sug Matthews and Bobbie Arnold.
Joe was a strong Christian and a longtime member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. Professionally Joe was a PC specialist with a great mind for solving problems. In his lifetime Joe enjoyed many hobbies and had lasting friendships from these: ham radio, woodworking, Goldwing Road Rider Association in which he enjoyed being the District Director for SC for 4 years and the Region Leadership Trainer for Region A. Recently Joe became a member of the SAR along with brother Ron and nephew Bill. 9 years ago Joe was blessed with a new set of lungs, thanks to an unknown donor and their family. Joe’s personality before, during, and after was an inspiration to all who met him. His quick wit made him a favorite with doctors and nurses, no matter how he felt he always said he was good, with a smile. His dry humor and practical jokes were loved among family and friends and the way he showed his love. His love for the Lord and all his friends and family was evident in all he did. Prayers from all his brothers and sisters in Christ are what got him thru so many physical challenges he faced before during and after his transplant.
Family and friends will gather for a “Celebration of Life” at 1 PM on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 4999 Old Spartanburg Rd., Taylors, SC 29687.
