Mr. Charles Michael McAlister

Charles Michael “ Preacher Valdez “ McAlister, 79, of Easley, South Carolina, passed from this life on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at his home. Born on October 22, 1938 in Greenville, South Carolina to his parents, Thurston Floyd McAlister and Alice (Baker) McAlister, he was a lifelong resident of the upstate and he worked as a pipe fitter in the construction industry. He was of the Baptist faith and he attended the Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley where he served in numerous capacities. He was a member of the Custom Riders Motorcycle Club in Atlanta, Georgia.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; his eldest brother, Donald Ray McAlister and his grandson, Robert Barry Raines. Charlie is survived by his daughter, Michelle D. Raines and her husband, Barry E. Raines and their daughter, Kayla D. Raines.

A gathering of the family and friends will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611.
