Charles Ronald “ Ronnie “ Lawson

Charles Ronald “ Ronnie “ Lawson, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 in Spartanburg. He was born and raised in Cowpens, SC and he worked as an operator for Union Camp in Spartanburg. Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his children, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to old country music, watching Sunday Football and he loved watching NASCAR races, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Lawson and Mollie Iva (Sumner) Lawson and his sister, Gail Lawson Callaway. Those who will most cherish his memory are his children, Candice Lawson Pettit (Michael) of Spartanburg and Jason Lawson (Kylie) of Cowpens; his brother, Terry “ Chug “ Lawson of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Jessica Mathis, Mollie Bogan, Ashley and Tyler Lawson; great grandchildren, Kendra and Alexis; step grandchildren, Ashley Pettit, Brianna and Mason Pennington.

Receiving of friends will be at 3:30pm with a service to follow at 4:30pm at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 101 St. Matthews Ln, Spartanburg, SC 29301, Tuesday the 26th day of December 2017. The Rev. Mthr. Mia C. McDowell, SCP wil be officiating the service.
