Humphries, Charles Rayford, 69, of Taylors SC went to be with his Savior on August 30,2015. Born in Union, SC he was the son of Charles and O.B. Humphries and the brother of Barbara Chung. Charlie was a retired United Methodist Minister, serving churches in Rougemont, NC and Columbia, SC. He was also a tax accountant who did ministerial tax returns for over two decades. He was an avid fan of anything cowboy and had an extensive collection of western movies. He loves music, especially country and gospel. He dearly loved playing with his grand children.

He is preceded in death by his infant son, Christopher John Humphries, and his parents Charles and O.B. Humphries. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Wilde Humphries, his two daughters, Katie Humphries and her husband Charles Beaman, and Kim Humphries Gonzalez; his sister, Barbara Chung of Fort Worth, Texas; his sister in law, Kathy D'Orazio and her husband David D'Orazio of Lawrenceburg, In and Susie Huggins and her husband Ken Huggins of Greenville, SC; four beloved grandchildren, Charles William Beaman, Kayla Elizabeth Beaman, Aria Milan Gonzalez, and Isobel Winter Gonzalez; three nieces and their husbands and a nephew; three great nieces and four great nephews.

Charlie graduated from Wofford College and received his masters degree from Duke Divinity School. Charlie endured a very long battle with Alzheimer's Disease with grace and dignity. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. He was cremated at the Cremation Society of South Carolina. A memorial service to celebrate his life is planned for May 1,2016 at Junaluska.
