Charlie's journey began alongside his twin sister, Charlotte Lofton, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond throughout his life. His role as a family man was paramount, and he was a devoted husband and father above all else. His daughters, Kathryn Welch Betz and Julie Welch Brightwell, will remember him as a guiding light and a source of endless support.

Charlie's generosity of knowledge and spirit left a lasting impact on many who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Charlie's interests extended beyond his professional life. He was a skilled woodworker, creating beautiful pieces of furniture that he lovingly gave to family members and sold to those who appreciated his craftsmanship. His hands were rarely still, and the fruits of his labor will serve as cherished heirlooms for generations to come.
