Carolyn L Muller

March 11, 1940 — September 20, 2023

Carolyn L. Muller, affectionately known as "Vanna," passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2023. Born on March 11, 1940, in Bethesda, MD, she was a beacon of love, selflessness, and thoughtfulness throughout her 83 years.

Carolyn was a proud graduate of Odessa Montour Central School and furthered her education at SUNY - Potsdam. Despite her academic achievements, Carolyn found her true calling in the home, dedicating her life to the care and nurturing of her family. She was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who entered her home.

She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Muller and a devoted mother to her five children: Scott R. (Catherine) Muller, Lynn M. Gilbode, John C. (Dawn) Muller, Jennifer M. (Bill) Storch, and Timothy J. Muller. She was also a cherished sister to her brothers, Richard P. (Eleanor) Lattin, and Charles S. (Harriet) Lattin, who predeceased her. Carolyn was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and a dear aunt to six nieces and nephews.

Carolyn's love for her family was only matched by her love for her country. She was a proud patriot, deeply appreciative of the freedoms and opportunities afforded to her as an American citizen. Her patriotism was a cornerstone of her identity, and she instilled this love of country in her children and grandchildren.

A woman of faith, Carolyn was an active member of her church community. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, providing her with strength and comfort in times of need. She was a beacon of light in her community, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

Carolyn's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She loved going to the beach, where she would spend hours looking for shells and sea glass. She was a fan of Disney movies, often watching them with her grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. An avid animal lover, Carolyn enjoyed watching the National Geographic channel, marveling at the beauty and diversity of the natural world.

In her later years, Carolyn found great joy in caring for her grandchildren. She was their rock, their safe haven, and their biggest cheerleader. Her home was a place of laughter, love, and endless Disney movie marathons. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Carolyn's life was a testament to the power of love and selflessness. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity, leaving a lasting legacy of love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.

In conclusion, Carolyn "Vanna" Muller was a woman of great strength, love, and compassion. Her life was a tapestry of cherished memories, shared laughter, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
