Born on September 28, 1948, in Elkhart, IN, she was a daughter of the late John and Phillis Clouse and grew up surrounded by the love and camaraderie of her three brothers.

Carolyn's early years in Indiana were filled with the simple pleasures of Midwestern life. After completing her education, she embarked on a career that showcased her resilient and determined spirit. Carolyn worked at Miles Laboratory, where she was not only respected for her work ethic but also cherished for her warm and friendly nature. She later joined the Indiana Department of Transportation, where she took on the challenging role of a snow plow operator - a testament to her adventurous and spirited personality.

Those who knew Carolyn will remember her as a loving and friendly person who brought life and energy into every room she entered. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy to all.
