Carol Ann Kass, 73, of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 in her home after a recent diagnosis of cancer. Her friends and family always knew her as the life of the party. She loved going to the theatre and acting in local community plays. Reading was her favorite pastime, and she loved spending time at the library. Her friends will tell you that her single greatest pride was her children; she was always up for proofreading their school papers. She loved babies and was an amazing babysitter. She took pride in reading parenting books, and loved to dispense advice. She had a heart for animals, and her house was always filled with dogs, cats, parrots, finches, and even chinchillas. She fostered dogs for several years with the dog rescue group, Small Paws Rescue, and enjoyed spending the last few years as a professional dog sitter.
Born in 1948 in Oak Park, Illinois to Irwin Ross Cullins and Clara Przeklasa Cullins, she was raised in Rock Falls, IL. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her brother, Ross Cullins. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Kass Middleton; son, Joseph Charles Kass; daughter-in-law, Amber Warne Kass; son-in-law, Arthur Blake Middleton; grandson, Henry Blake Middleton; and granddaughter, Clara Elizabeth Middleton.
A memorial service will be held for friends and family at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Rd., Greenville, SC 29611, with a reception following the service.
