Carol Marie Eggers went to heaven on October 14, 2017. She had recently celebrated her 80th birthday with family and friends.
Carol was born in Kingsville, OH in 1937. She lived in Mentor, Ohio; Painesville, Ohio; Zionville, NC and Greenville, SC. She had a degree in institutional food preparation and worked as a chef and supervising chef for several organizations. She loved her family and her church family. She was a faithful member of Calvary Chapel Greer and cared for people by preparing food and doing ministry for groups such as the Miracle Hill Renewal Program. She enjoyed reading, growing orchids, caring for pets, researching genealogy, studying Hebrew, traveling, and baking with her granddaughters.
Carol is survived by her brothers, James Davis (Anne) of Texas and Joe Davis (Pat) of Indiana, her sister Linda Chandler (Rick) of Ohio, her sons Keith (Carmen), Kris (Libby) and Roy (Karen), her step-daughter Irene, her daughter-in-law Joy, her grandchildren Karyn, Paul, April, Erik, Justin, Ashley, John and Ella, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Eggers and her sons Kraig and Kurt.
The family would like to thank Randy and Keli Lucero and the members of Calvary Chapel Greer and the staff at Spartanburg Regional ER and Neuro ICU.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Chapel Greer, 3315 Brushy Creek Rd., Greer 29650 on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 am.
Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Chapel Greer.
