Carmichael Owens

Carmichael Owens, son of the late Luke and Mildred Owens, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 11, 2023. He was preceded in death by his sister Katrina Owens and stepfather Adger McKinney. Carmichael is survived by his sisters Shelbra Owens (James Ballenger), Elaine Griffin (Harold), Tonya Mitchell, and Betty Power; his brothers Curtis Owens (Frances), Mark McKinney, and Nathaniel Pendergrass; his nieces Erica Polk Bell (Carroll), Ashanti Westfield, Katrina Owens, Kayla McKinney, and Penny Westfield; nephews Eddie Polk, Ladrequz Polk, Timothy Owens (Erwin), Edward Payton (Deveka), Kevin Brown, and Tyrone Neal; and a host of great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carmichael will be remembered for his pleasant and peaceful demeanor and his special connection with his sister Shelbra. He was fascinated with water – whether it be rain, a shower, the bath, or the ocean – if it was water, it brought him joy. He loved spending time outdoors and going for a stroll around the neighborhood. Carmichael had a taste for the finer things in life -he loved Pepsi, honeybuns, iced tea, and if you gave him a chicken sandwich from Burger King, he was in heaven.
