Carl William Young, Jr., known affectionately as Bo, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024, in Easley, South Carolina. Born on June 17, 1964, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Carl was a man whose life was defined by his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his passion for the simple pleasures in life.
Bo was the beloved son of Margaret (Paul) Alvey and the late Carl William Young, Sr. He grew up surrounded by the love and laughter of his siblings, Debora (Anthony) Baggett, Ruby (Billy) Goldsmith, and Richard Young. Carl's legacy continues through his cherished son, Will (Janna) Young, daughter Arabella (Basil) Davis, and his adored grandchildren, Colton Young, Alysa, Ariana Hewett, and Aurora Klein. He was a treasured Uncle “Bo” to Kaitlyn McCombs, Jenna McCombs, Justin McCombs, Mickey Young and the late James McKnight. His life was enriched by the companionship of his two cherished friends, Charlie Nutter and Lesha Morgan.
Bo found solace and joy in the tranquility of nature. He was often found with a fishing rod in hand, waiting for the next catch, a pastime that allowed him to reflect on life's blessings. Bo was also an avid reader, immersing himself in stories that spanned genres and worlds. Above all, Bo was a family man. He cherished the time spent with his loved ones and was known as a loving "Mama's Boy," a title he wore with pride.
